Theia Thermal Baths

In Chianciano Terme, on the splendid hill overlooking Piazza Italia, between Val d’Orcia and Val di Chiana, are the thermal baths named after the Titan goddess, Theia, “she who shines from afar”, mother of Selene, the moon goddess in Etruscan mythology. The water from the Silene spring flows out at a temperature of 38.5°C with a high content of free carbon dioxide and in a continuous cycle feeds the man-made pools used for wellness and body care.
