The museum is split between three different sites, all situated in the historic centre of Chiusi. The exhibition route starts in the Palazzo delle Logge where the “Labyrinth” section has been set up which documents the myth of the Etruscan king Porsenna whose tomb, according to tradition, is housed in the heart of the labyrinth dug under the church. The route continues in Via Baldetti where you can visit the sections dedicated to production activities and inscriptions. In the first section, farming implements from the 19th and 20th centuries are on display while domestic and cafeteria china kitchenware from the 1st century AD and a collection of Etruscan and Roman amphora are housed in the underground rooms. The “Inscription” section is located in fascinating tunnels. Along the route, there is a small lake at a depth of about 30 metres below road level.
