Sinalunga, historic town centre

There are numerous monuments of great historical and artistic interest. The Colonna degli Editti in Piazza XX Settembre, dating back to the era of Medici domination, Piazza Biancalana, the heart of the narrow streets that lead to via Spadaforte, once a walkway on the town walls and from where you get an amazing view of the Valdichiana. The Municipal Theatre dedicated to the composer “Ciro Pinsuti”, built in 1797 by the “Accademia degli Disantellati” is a lovely little late eighteenth-century building of exquisite workmanship and excellent acoustics.
