This space was named after Mario Luzi in 2012, poet, senator for life and honorary citizen of Pienza where he used to spend the summer months. The link established with Pienza, led him to donate his books and letters to the city council and these documents constitute the heritage of the Centro Studi La Barca. A plaque, with a few verses by the poet, has been placed below the windows of the parsonage in which Luzi lived and overlooking the Val d’Orcia with a breath-taking view.
