The walk takes its name from the church with the same name which you encounter en route, dating back to the 17th century, with a single nave and a simple brick façade. But the real attraction of Via Santa Caterina is the view that you can enjoy over Val d’Orcia, an important natural, artistic and cultural park, recognised in 1999 as an Area Naturale Protetta di Interesse Locale (Protected Natural Area of Local Interest) “Val d'Orcia” and in 2004, as a World Heritage site by UNESCO.
