Celle sul Rigo, Piazza del Pozzo

This characteristic square takes its name, albeit incorrectly, from an ancient, deep well, which still exists, engraved with the names of the priors who restored it in 1610. Used by the local people until a few years ago, when not everyone had running water in their house and during periods of drought. A system of cups was put in motion which brought the cold water to the surface by turning the wheel.
