Guazzino, historic town centre

Situated halfway between Sinalunga and Bettolle, the town takes its name from Guazzino di Montepulciano, the lord of these lands and his son, Duccio di Guazzino, mentioned in a document in 1310. The town expanded significantly from the first half of the 20th century, thanks to the clay quarries and later, their use in building the large brick kilns.
